About Natalie
Natalie Saralou is a musician and certified personal trainer. She is a freelance trombonist, as well as a bagpiper in the McGuire’s Irish Pub Pipe Band. She studied classical trombone performance and earned her Bachelor of Music degree from California State University Northridge in 2019.

Natalie attended Granada Hills Charter High School, where she learned to play the bagpipes under the instruction of Nick Petoyan and Jennifer Febre Boase, former Pipe Major of the Pasadena Scottish Pipes & Drums. After a 7-year hiatus and a cross-country move to Pensacola, Florida, Natalie took up the bagpipes again and joined the McGuire’s Irish Pub Pipe Band.
During her time at CSUN, Natalie studied under trombonist, Andrew Malloy, and has taught her own private students as well. She has performed in many ensembles, including the CSUN Wind Ensemble, CSUN Symphony, and various chamber ensembles. She has substituted in youth orchestras, including CSUN's Youth Symphony and Philharmonic orchestras, as well as the Los Angeles Youth Orchestra.
She has performed at many venues, including Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Chicago Symphony Center, the Pearl Harbor National Memorial, USS Midway, USS Iowa, the Younes & Soraya Nazarian Center for the Performing Arts (formerly known as the Valley Performing Arts Center), and universities across the nation. Natalie has had the privilege of performing with many great artists, including Ian Bousfield (at the 2017 International Trombone Festival), Serj Tankian, Paul Barnes, Aida Cuevas, and Julia Heinen. She has also participated in master classes with renowned trombonists, including David Rejano Cantero, James Miller, Bill Reichenbach, Doug Yeo, Megumi Kanda, Sean Reusch, Per Brevig, and more.

Natalie began her fitness journey in 2015 and has been interested in health, fitness, and nutrition ever since. She earned her personal trainer certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT) in 2022, and is currently working with her own clients via online coaching. She enjoys various physical activities, including weight lifting, calisthenics, jumping rope, running, swimming, and walking her dogs. Natalie is continuing her weight loss journey and is passionate about educating and helping others achieve their goals, as well.
